My sympathy to Russell's family. It is hard to imagine a world without Russell. I have so many great memories as a teenager at his grandparent's farm. I hold those memories dear. My deepest sympathy again to Russell's children and dear family. May Russell Rest in Peace!!!

It is always tragic when someone passes at a relatively young age. Our families have been friends for over half a century now. We have noted many of life’s milestones along the way. In years past we shared many family meals. We have known work, joy and pain together. I recall Russell well on the McMillan farm as a little boy still learning to walk. I can’t imagine the anguish Randall and his family are feeling. It is not the natural order of life to outlive one’s child. I hope that there is some measure of consolation knowing that Russell is at peace. I hope that his spirit is with those that have loved him and gone before him. I hope that those of us that remain here on earth recall him fondly. I hope that my words offer some measure of comfort. As for me, I recall the image of Russell’s tiny hand as a 2 year old holding onto my hand as he learned to run on the driveway of his grandparent’s home in Galt. ….and I recall his laugh. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
