Edna Anderson, a 76 year old Princeton, MO resident, passed away at 12:36 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be held at the Cottage Community Church in Alden, IA at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 , 2013. Rev. Russ Surls and Pastor Ken Nason will officiate. Burial will be in Lake City Cemetery in Lake City, IA. A scheduled visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the Church. Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton is handling all arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson was born on December 24, 1936 in Lohrville, IA the daughter of Albert Lee and Inez Mae (Houdeshel) Nelson. She graduated from Panora High School. She was married to Richard Anderson on June 5, 1955 in Panora, IA. She retired from the Riverside Book and Bible in Iowa Falls. She was a member of the Cottage Community Church.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Richard Anderson of the home; 2 sons, Rick Anderson of Key West, FL and Alan Anderson and his wife, Luanne of Lidderdale, IA; 2 daughters, Janelle Tjarks and her husband, Martin of Princeton, MO and Gina Bradley and her husband, Craig of Alden, IA; 2 sisters, Marilyn Bettis and her husband, Mervin of Maryville, MO and Donna Johnson and her husband, Frank of Stuart, IA; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Nelson; a sister, Sharon Daisy; and a great grandson, Justin Swick.
