Velda Thrasher, a 93 year old resident of Galt, MO, passed away at 5:54 a.m. on February 4, 2013 at St Luke’s Hospital in North Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Payne Funeral Home of Galt, MO.  Burial will be in the Humphreys Cemetery.  Open visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thrasher was born on July 29, 1919 in Trenton, MO the daughter of Earl and Beatrice (Boram) Axtell. She was married to Sterling E. Thrasher in 1936; he preceded her in death on January 17, 1978.
Mrs. Thrasher is survived by 2 sons, Alan Thrasher and his wife, Patty of Galt, MO and George Thrasher of Galt, MO; 2 sisters, Vivian Golden of Elwood, KS and Thelma Wilkerson of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Michele Tulley, Matthew Thrasher and his wife, Amy, and Melanie Goddard and her husband, Frank; and 3 great grandchildren, Mindi Goddard, Noah Thrasher, and Joshua Thrasher.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Henley; a brother, Don Axtell; and 2 infant sons.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humphreys Cemetery.

im very sorry for loss of your mom.im also sorry that my mom wont able to attend the services either. but i know that they all will be togetherin a better world. takke care and god will be with you all. and please tell your brother also im very sorry for your loss.
