Lyndall Slonecker, a 91 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 7:32 a.m. on Tuesday, December 04, 2012 at the Wright Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the First Christian Church of Trenton.  A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.  Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the First Christian Church and may be left with or mailed to Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slonecker was born on October 12, 1921 in Mercer County to Eldon and Pearl Moore Goodin.  She graduated from Trenton High School class of 1939 before attending the Chillicothe Business College for two years.  From 1943 through 1945 she served in the United States Marine Corps.  She attended boot camp at Camp Lejeune, NC and was then stationed at El Toro Marine Base in Santa Anna, CA.  In 1943, Lyndall was united in marriage to Jack Huisman.  He preceded her in death in 1948.  She was then married to Lowell Dean “L.D.” Slonecker on June 8, 1950 in Bethany, MO; he preceded her in death on August 1, 2001.
Mrs. Slonecker was a member of the First Christian Church and had been with the 50 50 class for over 50 years.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Joe Slonecker and his wife, Nancy of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Jackie  Clark-Otto and her husband, David of Cape Girardeau, MO; a sister in law, Wanda Goodin of Princeton, MO; grandchildren, John Clark and his wife, Julie, Travis Clark and fiancée Lucy, Rachel Sides and her husband, Ty, and Sarah Harris and her husband, Chris; great grandchildren Charlotte, Cameron, Lauren, Allison and Jack Clark, Addison, and Jackson Sides and Jared Harris, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husbands, a sister Nadean Goodin and a brother John Goodin.

We all have heavy hearts with the loss of a special and unique woman. We also have so many wonderful and joyful moments shared we now treasure as I know you do as well.

i am hardly able to express the sadness that i feel at the loss of such a lontime friend. we shaared so many wonderful times, we shared family and friends. lyndall is the last of my old missouri friends. i am so thankful for many wonderful memories.
