Rebecca Griffin, a 52 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 5:56 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial of the cremains will be at later date. A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 until service time Thursday.
Rebecca Griffin was born September 27, 1960 in Lawrence, KS to Robert John and Jackie (Jackson) Thornbrue Ellis. She was raised in and lived in the Trenton area until moving to St. Joseph, MO in 2007. She attended Trenton High School and then received a degree in nursing from North Central Missouri College.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Shelly Washburn and her husband Michael of Princeton, MO, two grandsons Keegan and Kolby Washburn of Princeton, MO, two brothers Johnny Lee Thornbrue and Larry Thornbrue of Springfield, MO, and a step father, Junior Ellis of Trenton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
