Wayne Wheelbarger, a 76 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 4:51 p.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Arkadelphia Cemetery near Avalon, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 7 until 8 Monday evening at the funeral home. Open visitation will begin Monday morning.
Wayne Leroy Wheelbarger was born October 2, 1935 in Livingston County, MO to Floyd and Ruth Kissick Wheelbarger. He graduated from Bogard High School and then enlisted in the United States Army where he was a airplane mechanic. Around 1960 Wayne started up a barber shop in 1960. In 1962 he was united in marriage to Ruth Sanson in Bogard. They moved to Trenton in 1976 where he worked for Modine Manufacturing.
Surviving relatives include his wife Ruth of the home, three sons Lyle Jason and Curtis all of Trenton, a daughter Karen Humphries and her husband Charles of Van Buren, AR, and two sisters Helen Allen of Gladstone, MO and Connie Epperson of Morrisville, MO, and seven grandchildren Brianna, Lee, Emily, Tristen, Nathan, Christopher and Kyle.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a son Brian Keith Wheelbarger.
