Chastine Baker, an 84 year old former Princeton and Trenton resident, passed away early morning on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, KS.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton. Burial will be in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Edinburg, MO. Open visitation will begin at noon Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home for expenses.
Chastine Baker was born December 26, 1927 in Princeton, MO to Ellsworth and Hallie Dragroo McReynolds. On January 23, 1946 she was united in marriage to Jessie Baker in Troy, KS. They lived in Trenton until moving to Kansas City, KS in 1959, where Jessie worked for the Ford Plant, in 1982 they returned to Trenton. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1985. Chastine’s favorite pastime was spending time with her many grandchildren.
Mrs. Baker is survived by a daughter, Sharon Maxwell of Kansas City, KS; a son, Gary Baker of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Ruby Henry of Mercer, MO; a brother, Bobby McReynolds of Princeton, MO; a sister in law, Katherine McReynolds of Princeton, MO; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, two daughters Karen Turley and Deloris Jean Baker, and three brothers Wendell, Wayne and Forest McReynolds.
