Joe Lowery, a 55 year old resident of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at his residence while under hospice care.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Payne Funeral Home of Galt. A visitation is scheduled from 7 until 8 Wednesday evening. The body is to be cremated after the services. Memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home for burial expences.
Mr. Lowery was born on August 25, 1956 in Stillwell, OK the son of Joe and Minnie (Pritchard) Lowrey. On November 4, 1994 he was united in marriage to Willa Mae (Monteer) Tunnell in Sedalia, MO. Mr. Lowery was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Willa Mae (Tunnell) Lowery of Russell Springs, KY; a son, Jason Lowery of Stillwell, OK; a step daughter, Carrie Bell and her husband, Jimmy of Russell Springs, KY; a step son, Richard Tunnell of Galt, MO; a brother, Charlie Lowery of Bunston, MO; 3 sisters, Unis Johnson of Cameron, OK, Gladys Eaton of Stillwell, OK, and Diane Gordon of River Falls, AL; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 step grandchildren.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and 2 brothers.
