Kathleen Berney, a 97 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Oakridge Nursing Home in Plattsburg, MO.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. Open visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at Resthaven Mortuary.
Mrs. Berney was born on May 3, 1915 the daughter of Glen and Allie (Eads) Tolle. She graduated from Trenton High School. She was married to Orion Cox on February 3, 1941; he preceded her in death on January 11, 1961. She later married Lowell Berney on February 14, 1965; he preceded her in death on January 22, 2009. She worked as a nurse at Wright Memorial Hospital and also farmed with both of her husbands near Galt. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton.
She is survived by a sister in law, Virginia Tolle of Trenton, MO; a niece, Jenelle Graber of Liberty, MO; and 4 nephews, Stephen Tolle of Delta, IA, Rex Berney of Ohio, Ray Berney of Arizona, and Charles Chaney of Shelbina, MO.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Phillip Tolle.
