Bobby McLin a 79 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:50 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Wright Memorial Hopice.
Bobby Vern McLin was born April 13, 1933 in Corydon, IA to Ted and Dorothy Lucinda Hilliard McLin. He graduated High School in Corydon, IA and served in the United States Navy from 1953 through 1957. After spending a number of years living in California he moved to Trenton in 1971 and married Barbara Oswalt on August 29, 1971. He was employed with Donaldson’s in Chillicothe as well as doing many other jobs including snow removal, landscaping and mowing. Bobby especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends and hugging women.
Surviving relatives include his wife Barbara McLin of the home, a son Steven McLin of CA, a brother Eudene McLin and his wife Fran of San Diego, CA, a sister Dolores Ryan and her husband Jack of Des Moines, IA and granddaughter and a great granddaughter.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a grandson.

Bob was my neighbor for a long time and i would always enjoy the talks that bob, Barbra and myself would have. I'm sorry he had to leave us all so soon. But i know he's in a better place and is peaceful. I will miss you so much bob and all the funny stories and jokes you would tell me.

So sorry for your loss Barbara & Family. I did not know Bob well but I know being married to you Barbara that he must have been a very nice person as you are a sweet & wonderful Person. I pray for your healing of your loss. God Bless,

My deepest sympathy to Barbara and family. Summer called me yesterday and told me Bob had passed. Neither one of us were contacted at all. I am so sorry for your loss as it is our loss as well. We love you, Bob and will Barbara please call me. I called the home and there is no answer. We live in Whittier, CA at 10238 Victoria Avenue; our phone number is 562-944-0101 at home and my cell phone is 562-686-6439. What happened dad??? Rest in peace with your grandson Steven Daniel McLin. I love you!!!
