Glen Alvin Haggard a 95 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 4:28 a.m., Wednesday, February 08, 2012 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, MO. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from 9:30 until service time Friday
Glen Haggard was born March 12, 1916 in Mercer County, MO to Flute and Lora Holmes Haggard. On February 13, 1939 he was united in marriage to Ruth Gardner in Princeton, MO. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2007. Mr. Haggard graduated from Mercer High School in 1933. He began a career working on the Rock Island Rail Road February 16, 1943 retiring April 21, 1978. Over those years He had lived in Rock Island, IL the quad cities, and Blue Island, IL. After his retirement he moved to Trenton, MO. He was a member of the United Transportation Union Lodge #63.
Surviving relatives include his son Dale Haggard and his wife Dawn of Ottawa, IL, 3 grandchildren Lisa Pouder and her husband Kim, Robert Haggard and Tod Haggard, and a great granddaughter Stephani Pouder.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, wife, a son Dennis Haggard, a half brother Marcus Gallager, and a half sister Abbie Porter.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left with the funeral home.
