Deb Nadine Binney, 58, of rural Trenton, MO, passed away late Monday evening, January 23, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Deb was born on April 27, 1953 in Trenton to Ray “Jr.” and Nadine Horton Dolan. She graduated from Trenton High School and on September 17, 1971 was married to Jim Binney in Trenton. They have lived and farmed all 40 years of their married lives east of Trenton.

As a very active member of her community, Deb was a member of the Laredo Christian Church, served on the Laredo school board, was a member of Xi Theta Upsilon, and spent endless hours as a devoted band/choir mom.  She also loved getting rowdy once a month with her Bunko girls.  However, none of these things brought her as much joy as her most important role of all; taking care of and cooking for her family, friends, and any stranger she learned was in need.  Her 7 course meals that she hauled to the fields will be missed by many.

Mrs. Binney is survived by her husband, Jim Binney of the home; a daughter, Amy Binney-Huber of Trenton, MO; a son, Jeff Binney of Brooklyn, NY; 3 grandchildren, Dolan, Jesse, and Jackson Huber; a sister, Joy Stone of Kansas City, MO; and a niece, Becky Stone of Laredo, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton. In lieu of flowers her family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Deb Binney Memorial Fund. These memorial contributions will be used to fund the construction of the kitchen in the "Lodge," which is currently in the planning stages, for families of patients in the St. Luke’s Heart Institute. These may be left at or mailed to the Resthaven Mortuary at P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO, 64683.

Dear Jim, Amy & Jeffrey: We are so very sorry for this tremendous loss. Debi was one of the first neighbors I remember and who spent many hours watching over me and my sister, Barb, after school. I personally have so many fond memories of her. May you find comfort from the Lord above.

To Jim, you, and your family.
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Deb. She was a great person and a friend to everyone. I remember working at the house remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen. I never took a lunch she would always ask me join all of you for lunch. She always had that joyful laugh and smile. She will be greatly missed.
May god's love, family, and friends help you all through this very sorrowful time in you lives.
