Larry Buzzard, a 58 year old Trenton resident, passed away Thursday afternoon at his residence due to a heart attack.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 23, 2011 at the Trenton First Baptist Church.  Cremation will follow the services.  A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 7 Sunday evening at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton.  Memorial donations are suggested to the family for expenses.

Larry Buzzard was born March 2, 1953 in Bethany, MO to James and Josie Swartz Buzzard.  He graduated from Ridgeway High School in 1972.  On February 22, 1974 he was united in marriage to Gloria Anderson in Trenton which ended in divorce.  On December 31, 2003 he was married to Genie Grime in Trenton.  Larry was employed for many years with the highway department.

Mr. Buzzard is survived by his wife, Genie Buzzard of Trenton, MO; 2 sons, Gabriel Lee Buzzard of Kansas City, MO and James Olan Buzzard of Trenton, MO; 1 daughter, Carolyn Ann and her husband, Trent David Blackburn of Trenton, MO, his ex-wife Gloria Anderson of Trenton, MO; 2 step daughters, Carman Morin of Trenton, MO and Kaili Morin of Chillicothe, MO; 5 brothers and sisters, Mary Lewis and her husband Richard of Bethany, Lucille McClure of Maryville, MO, Doris Neimann and her husband Joe of Eldorad Hills, C A, and Jimmy Buzzard of Vinita, OK, and two grand-daughters, Sydney Leann Blackburn, and McKayla Kirk Blackburn, and a step grandson Charles Jason Gardner of Chillicothe, MO.

Those preceding him in death include his parents, and brothers Wayne Buzzard and Robert Swartz.

I am so sad to hear of your lose. I will always remember Larry. He was fun and funny to be around and I will never forget his laugh. I went to school with him at Ridgeway and will always have a lot of memories about those times. It was a real honor to be able to call him a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of sorrow.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss. I remember Larry from the bow club, he was always friendly, smiling and laughing. He always had that big wave when i met him on the highway. He was a great person and will be missed greatly.
Your family has my deepest sympathy. My god's love, family, and friends get you through this very sorrowful time in your life.
