Ron and family, I am so sorry to hear about you losing your dad. You know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I remember when I was a kid and we would go the Montgomery Wards to browse around with my mom - I always loved seeing and talking to your dad because he always made us kids feel welcome. He was such a friendly, nice man and I know you will miss him a lot. He will always be in your heart.

Surprised to find this obituary for Herchal as when I returned from Chicago I opened his Christmas card with a message they (him & Betty) were living in Kansas City for HER health. Please accept my dismay & condolences on loving, friendly, always a smile on cousin Herchal's dear face. It was a pleasure to meet him at Marjorie McCullough's with some of his family in 2000, & to share christmas cards over these 11 years. My father Jay Batson always asks about him, when he found out I was in contact with Herchal & Gordon.
