Terry Lee Hughs, a 56 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away on Thursday afternoon, January 5, 2012 at the North Kansas City Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  A scheduled family visitation will be held from 7 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the mortuary.  Cremation will follow the service.

Mr. Hughs was born on November 26, 1955 the son of Arthur and Rosanna (Willard) Hughs.  He was married to Rhonda Maples on June 3, 1992 in Trenton, MO, they were in the process of adopting their grandson, Taylor Groves.  Terry attended Trenton Schools and worked the last 20 years at ConAgra Trenton Foods as a Maintenance Tech 3, he also worked for Barnes Green House and McCarty Truckline as a long haul driver, a farmer, and as maintenance for Carnation Company Trenton Foods.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Hughs of the home; 1 daughter, Cassie Leeper of Trenton, MO; 1 step daughter, Kristen Harper and her husband, Howard of Trenton, MO, 8 grandchildren, Gabby Overton, Gavin Clevenger, Garit Leeper, Grant Leeper, Truman Leeper, Jayden McClure, Cayson Harper, and Taylor Groves; parents, Arthur and Rosanna Hughs of Trenton, MO; 2 brothers, Randy Hughs and his wife, JoEtta of Jamesport, MO and Michael Hughs of Trenton, MO; 1 sister, Vickie Flowers and her husband, Harmon of Brimson, MO; and in laws, John and Nancy Maples of Brimson, MO.

He was preceded in death by twin infant brother and sister, Glen Ray and Glenda Fay; 1 step daughter, Nikki Groves; 1 aunt; and 2 nephews.
