Beulah Lame, a 92 year old former Trenton resident, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Morningside Center in Chillicothe, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary.  Pastor Del Weyer will officiate.  Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.  General visitation will begin 8:30 a.m. on Monday up until service time.

Mrs. Lame was born on May 30, 1919 in northern Livingston County, the daughter of William and Zinda Leigh (Robertson) Johnson.  She was married to Cleo Lame on September 4, 1937 in Trenton, MO; he preceded her in death on June 28, 1997.  She has been a member of the First Assembly of God Church since 1944, where she was very active including teaching Sunday School and her involvement with the Womens Mission Group.  She enjoyed her family, gardening, and cooking.  Her greatest joys in life were God and family.

She is survived by two 2 sons, Ronald Lame and his wife, Barbara of Chillicothe, MO, and Richard Lame and his wife, Leann of Trenton, MO; 1 daughter, Barbara Perry of Trenton, MO; 1 brother, J.W. Johnson of Milan, IL; 3 sisters, Helen Runnels of Bakersfield, CA, Mildred Spade of Vallejo, CA, and Donna Boston of Kirksville, MO; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Arthur Johnson, Frosty Johnson, Cub Johnson, and Gene Johnson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Lukes Hospice of Hedrick; they can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO  64683.

We are so sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed visiting with Beulah when she was at Eastview. Our prayers are with you all that Gods love for you will bring peace in the days to come and wonderful memories will be everlasting.

I was so sorry to just read about the passing of your mother. She and my dad, LaRee Robertson, were cousins. She had such a big heart, and I will always remember her for looking after my grandmother, Essie Arbuckle, in Trenton. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
