Jim Bob Landis, a 71 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at his daughter’s residence in St. Joseph, MO, after battling cancer.

Memorial services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until service time Monday.  Memorial contributions may be left to the American Cancer Association in lieu of flowers.

Jim Bob Landis was born December 29, 1939 in Trenton, MO to Jack and Venita Rosson Landis.  On October 27, 1967 he was united in marriage to Linda Hyre in Trenton.  He retired from the United States Post Office in October of 1999, after working as a letter carrier for 33 years.  His most enjoyed past times included gardening, drinking coffee and playing cards.

Surviving relatives include his wife Linda of the home, a daughter Jamie Landis and her husband Gary Kreek of St. Joseph, a son Michael Landis of Trenton and a sister Charlene Reynolds and her husband Rex of Chillicothe, MO.

Those preceding him in death include his parents and an infant brother.

Linda Kay, Jamie and Michael:
So sorry to hear of your loss...We had alot of good times in the neighborhood!!!
Just think...Jim Bob is being reunited with Fang!!! What a sight that would have been!
You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will see you Monday evening.
