Hayden “Stan” Standiferd, an 82 year old resident of Trenton, MO, passed away at 1:25 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Wright Memorial Hospital.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton, with military rites to follow.
Mr. Standiferd was born on July 17, 1929 in Osage City, KS the son of Elza and Mary Hanyka Standiferd. He graduated from Osage City, KS High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954 earning the rank of Sergant. While living in Colorado, he worked for the Coop and a paint store for several years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and held state president position in 1983 and worked as Administer for two Moose Lodges for 12 years before retiring in 1994. In Trenton he worked at Trenton Hardware and was a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Jackie Dowell of Trenton; 3 step daughters, Sonja Yauk of Windsor, CO, Pat Lenhart and Kelly Udovich both of Trenton, MO; two sons, Clark and Craig and two daughters, Susan and Cindy all of Colorado; 11 grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, and 5 step great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey; and two sisters, Leta and Bernice.
