Eileen Ratliff, a 91 year old resident of Brimson, MO, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on September 8, 2011 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A scheduled visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Ratliff was born on February 15, 1920 in the Brimson area the daughter of Luther and Lela Wiley Gibson.  She was married to Lester Ratliff on March 12, 1939 in Gilman City, MO; he preceded her in death on September 15, 2005.  She worked at Trenton Foods for few years.  She was a member of the Melbourne Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Mrs. Ratliff is survived by a son, Gail Ratliff and his wife, Tana of Greenwood, MO; 2 daughters, Donna Orndorff and her husband, Bill of Brimson, MO and Bonnie Besch and her husband, Fred of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, James Gibson of Wichita, KS and Arnold Gibson of Gilman City, MO; a sister, Erma Daniel of Bethany, MO; 11 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 25 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Gibson; 2 sisters, Velma Speck and Romaine Theel; and a great great grandchild, Karli Jo Holcomb.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wright Memorial Hospice; they can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO  64683.

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you today. Eileen, was a such a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to all. I was truely blessed to have known her. She will be sorely missed. My mom and I send our love to each of you today and always. God Bless.
