Tom Whitaker, a 59 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home of Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.  Burial will be in the Stucker Cemetery, south west of Laredo.  A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Whitaker was born on November 4, 1951 in Miller County, MO the son of Leo and  Lorraine Sooter Whitaker.  He lived most of his life in the Trenton area.  He was married to Michelle Page on February 13, 1977 in Galt, MO.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife, Michelle Whitaker of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Kelly Duncan of St. Joseph, MO; a son, Brian Page of Excelsior Springs, MO; his mother, Lorraine Whitaker of Trenton, MO; 3 brothers, Steve Whitaker of Albuquerque, NM, Rick Whitaker of Rochester Hills, MI, and Tim Whitaker of Trenton, MO; and 5 grandchildren, Robbie Duncan of Colorado Springs, CO, Zachary and Racheal Duncan of St. Joseph, MO, and Samantha and Trevor Page of Excelsior Springs, MO.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Wright Memorial Hospice, they can be left at or mailed to Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, 813 Custer, Trenton, MO  64683.
