Christina J. Powers a 71 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 11:12 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Luke’s on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO.

A visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.  Her body is to be cremated following the visitation.  Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.

Christina Powers was born December 22, 1939 in Davis County to Elzy I. and Dorothy J. Smith Pugh.  She graduated from Gallatin High School.  On April 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to Charles Powers in Lawrence KS.  Mrs. Powers was employed as a nurse’s aid at Sunnyview Nursing Home.  

Surviving relatives include her husband Charles Powers of Trenton, sons Richard Powers of Trenton, and Rick Powers of Enid, OK, daughters Debbie Hill of Kerrville, TX and Jenny Shaffer of Arlington, TX, sisters Carolyn Brown of Bethany, MO and Francis Hayes of Albany, MO, a sister-in-law Lucille Pugh of Altamont, MO, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, and brothers Marion and Bob Pugh.
