Robert Lee Burkeybile, 78, of Trenton, passed away at 11:40 pm., Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Trenton.  Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery near Princeton, MO.  A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 Friday evening at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to Goshen Cemetery and may be mailed to or left with the funeral home.

Robert Lee Burkeybile was born July 14, 1938 in Spickard, MO to Cecil and Eliza (Johnson) Burkeybile.  On August 21, 1960 he was united in marriage to Joetta McLaughlin at the Crandall Church in Trenton. They were very active members of Wesley United Methodist Church.  Robert worked for Grundy Electric Cooperative as a lineman and later promoted to operations manager for over 42 years retiring in 1998.  He also served as the Minister at the Ravanna United Methodist Church for nearly twenty years.

Surviving relatives include his son, Randy (Kim) Burkeybile of Higginsville, MO; daughter, Jennifer Tunnell of Trenton, MO; a sister, Beatrice (Russell) Shaw of Trenton, MO; a brother, Donnie (Nancy) Burkeybile of Trenton, MO; and grandchildren, Devyn (Allison) Burkeybile, Kristen Burkeybile, Lael Rolen, Jodee Tunnell, Hattie Tunnell; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbra Barlow and his wife Joetta in 2011.
