Bill Hobbs, a 78 year old former Trenton resident, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Citizens Memorial Health Care in Bolivar, MO.
Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2017 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Inurnment is to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. A visitation is scheduled from noon until service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation and left with or mailed to the funeral home at 813 Custer, Trenton, MO 64683.
William Rolland Hobbs was born July 28, 1938 in Geneseo, IL to Herbert Raymond and Myrtle Mary Ellen Ann (Jolly) Hobbs. He graduated from Gilman City, High School class of 1955. On May 14, 1959 he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Searcy. Bill worked as a heavy machine operator all over north Missouri for himself and later with Trager Construction and retiring from Irvinbilt Constructors, Inc.
Surviving relatives include his wife Norma Jean of Fair Play, MO, sons Tommie Hobbs and his wife Lisa of Chillicothe, MO, David Hobbs and his wife LeeJeen of Ash Grove, MO and Randy Hobbs and his wife Kim of Walnut Grove, MO, brothers Charles M Hobbs and wife Joyce of Sanford, FL, and Raymond Hobbs and wife Janice of Grandbury, TX, sister Mary Ellen Boone and husband Jack of Hesperia, MI, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a sister Carolyn Jane Dusenbury.
