Cynthia Lynn Gott, a 55 year old, Galt, MO resident passed away at 10:48 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
A celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Grundy R-V school in Galt, MO. Her body is to be cremated following the services. A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 Monday evening at the Galt Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial donations to the Cindy Gott Memorial to be used for a scholarship for students going in to Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue, and Law Enforcement.
Cynthia Gott was born February 25, 1961 in Fort Worth, TX to Bob and Carolyn (Davis) Gott. She graduated from Grundy R-V High School in 1979 and remained a lifetime resident of Galt. Her mother ran the Galt diner and in 1995 she took over the business. Cindy was active in the Galt Community working as an E.M.T. and Fire Fighter with the Galt Fire Department, as well as being a member of the fire auxiliary and the Galt Christian Church. She will always be remembered for her contagious smile and laugh.
Surviving relatives include her father, Bob Gott of Galt; brothers, Ben Gott and wife Sherril of Galt, James Gott and wife Dennine of Galt, and Noel Gott and wife Ellen of Chillicothe, MO; a niece, Angie Gott of Chillicothe; nephews, Robbie Gott and wife Annaka of Macon, MO, Corey Gott and wife Amanda of Trenton, MO, Shawn Gott and wife Aimee of Trenton, Bryce Gott of Chillicothe, and Brock Gott of Chillicothe; and five great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; maternal grandparents Noel and Dorothy “Granny” Davis; and paternal grandparents Loren and Minnie Gott.
