Robert H. Brown, 88 of Trenton, Missouri, passed away at 1:18 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Trenton Church Of The Nazarene. Burial will follow at the Campground Cemetery in Osgood, Missouri. A scheduled visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Open visitation will begin Tuesday morning at Resthaven. Memorials and contributions are suggested to Trenton Church Of The Nazarene or Campground Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 26, 1928 in Osgood, Missouri to Warner S. and Corda (Johnson) Brown. He graduated from Galt High School in Galt, Missouri and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Williams on May 14, 1953. They had one son, Greg Brown. In 1954, Robert and Carolyn moved to Kansas City where Robert worked for Safeway. In 1961, they moved back to Trenton where he was in the meat and grocery business. In 1970, he went into the real estate business until 1988 when Robert and Carolyn bought the Arthur Hyde Home in Trenton and turned it into a bed and breakfast for twenty five years.
Robert had a heart of gold and was always there to help someone. He loved and tried to live his life as God would want. He will be missed each moment of the day.
Robert is survived by his wife Carolyn Brown of Trenton; son, Greg Brown and wife Shvonna of Milan, MO; granddaughter, Melissa Hollingsworth and husband Chance of St. Joseph, MO; great grandsons, Colton, Caysen, and Connor Hollingsworth; brothers, Roger Brown and wife Wilma of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Pat Brown and wife Libby of Holt, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carrol Mac Brown, and sister Sara June Brown Johnson.
