Jerri Elaine Manuel, 72 of Trenton, passed away at 2:22 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Edinburg Baptist Church in Edinburg. Burial will follow in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to Court Appointed Special Advocates “C.A.S.A.” and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
Jerri Elaine Manuel was born June 5, 1944 in Trenton to Andrew Vencill and Ruth (McAtee) Drake. She graduated from Trenton High School, and worked as a book keeper in the area for a number of businesses including the First Christian Church. Jerri was an active member of Rotary and the Edinburg Baptist Church and was recently working as a C.A.S.A. volunteer. Quilting and gardening were two of her favorite past times as well as singing and music.
Jerri is survived by her husband, Jim Manuel of Trenton; children, Robin Brown and husband Mike of Great Falls, MT, and Rick Manuel and wife Kimberly of Knob Noster, MO; and her brother, Jim Drake and his wife Mary of Trenton, and four grandchildren Eric Brown and his wife Tiffani, Rachel Brown, Scott Manuel and Virginia Manuel. She was preceded in death by her parents.
