Martha Jane Everly, 85, died November 17, 2015. A visitation will be at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m., Saturday November 21, 2015 at Payne Funeral Home in Galt, Mo. The family suggests memorials to the Galt West Cemetery or the Galt Fire Department and can be mailed to Payne Funeral Home 110 W. Center St. Galt, MO 64641.

Martha was born September 20, 1930 in La Plata, Mo. A graduate of Galt High School, she married Earl Everly Jr. on September 26, 1948.  She was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church where she loved to sing. Her favorite gospel song was “In the Garden”. She was also an avid sports fan who didn’t miss an inning of the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 World Series. But Martha is most remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who put family at the forefront of her life. She will be missed.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Gay and Peachie Wilson. She is survived by her two children, Steve Everly and Mari Beth Everly; three grandchildren, Marcie Everly, Nathan Everly and Katherine Everly; and four great-grandchildren, Kirk and Olivia Linz and William and Ruby Laffler.
