Carol Lee Stephens, 73, of Galt, passed away at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The body was cremated. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Galt Christian Church in Galt, Missouri. There will be a visitation for two hours prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the church and can be mailed to Payne Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Galt, MO 64641.
Carol was born on June 8, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert Louis and Adra Leola (Handy) Jenkins. She graduated from Raytown High School in Raytown, Missouri. She was a member of the Galt Christian Church and belonged to Beta Sigma Phi.
She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, horses, being outside, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her sons, Robert Stephens of Humphreys and Pat Stephens of Galt; daughter, Bridget Stephens and companion Craig Wright of Galt; companion, Bob Gott of Galt; brother, Robert Louis Jenkins II of Raytown, MO; sister, Barbara Jean Belt of Raymore, MO; grandchildren, Zach Stephens of Galt, Brandon Maze of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth Stephens of Kansas City, MO, Virginia Stephens of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Matthew Stephens of Kansas City, MO; three great grandchildren; and nephews, David Jenkins of Nevada, MO, Aaron Belt of Raymore, MO, and Stacy Belt of Harrisonville, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Deborah Lee Maze; and an infant sister.
