Mr. Arthur Hand, a 79 year old resident of Humphreys, MO, passed away at 6:05 p.m., Sunday Oct 12th, 2014 at his residence in Humphreys.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Friday at Payne Funeral Home.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the funeral home in Galt, MO. The body will be cremated afterwards.  Inurnment of remains and military graveside rites will be held in the Humphreys Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on November 8, 2014.
Art was born on January 26, 1935 in Romeoville IL, the son of Fred and Ina (Grisham) Hand. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Mary Cahoon on November 7, 1959 in Shawnee Town, IL.
Surviving relatives include his Children; Stacy Newell of Kirksville, MO, Kim Hand of Coralville, IA , Michael Hand of Yorkville, IL, Brian Hand of Morris, IL, Desiree Hand of Humphreys, MO, and Devon Hand of Chillicothe, MO.  Brothers and sisters, Kenneth Hand of Winigan, MO, Freda Presswood of Winigan, MO, Rita Shaver of Wilmington, IL, Alta Kasten of Winigan, MO, and Nora Schmidt of Joliet, IL, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Carl and his loving devoted wife Mary.
