Imogene Brassfield, 94 of Trenton, passed away at 8:30 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial to follow at Honey Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the funeral home. Imogene was born October 18, 1919 in Grundy County, MO to Harry and Clara Hostettler Crawford. She attended Trenton High School and graduated Chillicothe Business College. On August 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Dwight Brassfield in Trenton by Rev. Todd.
Imogene was an excellent cook and famous for her cherry pies. She loved cats and dogs and the life she lived on the farm. She was known by her family as a true shoe connoisseur.
Survivors include her daughter Sondra Lisle of Trenton; sister Hortense Urton of Trenton; and granddaughters Denise Guile, Dana Ferguson, and Teresa Miller and husband Dave all of Trenton; great grandchildren Myles Berry of Kansas City, Samantha and Bruce Fair of Trenton, Kyle and Jordan Miller of Grimes, IA, and Payton and Corbyn Guile of Trenton.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband Dwight, her parents, and son Larry Wayne Brassfield.
