Emma Smith, 83, of Columbia, Missouri formerly of Trenton died on June 6, 2014, in the Parkside Manor Nursing Home where she had resided since December, 2013.
A memorial graveside services will be held June 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton, MO.
Mrs. Smith was born December 18, 1930, in Grundy County, a daughter of Fred and Nellie Gott Claassen.  She was married to Eston Smith on June 1, 1946 at Brimson.  They farmed in Harrison County until moving to Trenton in 1965 where she owned and operated a beauty salon.  He preceded her in death on August 19, 1982.  In 1996 she moved to Columbia, MO, where she became a licensed day care provider.  
Survivors include one son, Eric and his wife, Jeanie of Omaha, NE.; two daughter, Sharla Campbell and her husband Roger of Laredo, MO and Marla Smith of Columbia, MO; also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
