Keith Edger Abbey, an 83 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 5:10 a.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will be from 7 until 8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice and left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Keith Abbey was born January 24, 1931 in Creston, IA to J. Hylton and Lillian B. (Bell) Abbey.  From January 12, 1951 until December 2, 1953 he served in the United States Marine Corp.  On April 1, 1956 he was united in marriage to Helen McComb in Trenton.  Together they farmed most of their lives and Mr. Abbey also worked as a supervisor at Trenton Foods until his retirement.
Surviving relatives include his wife Helen of the home and a son Michael Abbey and his wife Carole of Chillicothe, MO, a sister-in-law Irene Abbey of Bridgewater, IA, granddaughters Crystal Bryant of Dawn, MO, Rachel Snider and her husband Alan of Chillicothe, five great grandchildren Katelyn and Abbey Bryant and Audrey, Andrew and Aaron Snider as well as many nieces and nephews.  
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a brother Leland Abbey.
