George Edmundson, a 76 year old Galt, MO resident, passed away at 6:14 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the North Care Hospice in North Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Resthaven. Burial will be in the Mt Olive Cemetery, south of Humphreys in the Shafter area.
Mr. Edmundson was born on January 17, 1938 in Linn County, MO the son of Clarence “Bert” and Mabel (Dennis) Edmundson.  He grew up in the Hecla area. He started hauling milk at the age of 17 and continued for 17 years while also raising livestock. He enjoyed going to horse shows and pole bend and barrel races. He was married to Beverly Sallee in Chillicothe, MO on April 11, 1959.
Mr. Edmundson is survived by his wife, Beverly Edmundson of Galt, MO; a son, Mike Edmundson and his wife, Connee of Humphreys, MO; a daughter, Pam Edmundson of Lee’s Summit, MO; and 2 granddaughters, Jackie and Sierra.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Lyn Edmundson; and a brother, Clarence Edmundson.
The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery or the North Care Hospice House; these can be left at or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary, P.O. Box 587, Trenton, MO 64683.
