Dorothy Mae Phillips Cooper, 93, of Humphreys, MO passed away at 6:15 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2010 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Haseville Methodist Church with Rev. Stan Richardson officiating.  Burial will be in the Haseville Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton, MO.  Memorial donations may be made to the Haseville Cemetery

The daughter of Vernon and Omi Jack Bowyer Phillips, she was born March 18, 1917, at Shafter, MO.  On November 19, 1933, she married Harold D. Cooper and he preceded her in death  July 29, 1982.  Also preceding her were her parents; her sister, Esther, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Jennings; her brother, Junior, and sister-in-law, Lavern Phillips; a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Cooper; three son-in-laws, Donald Forson, Thomas Stinnett, and Dorence DeVore; and a great-grandson, Justin Hachinsky.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Vernon and daughter-in-law Doris Cooper of West Plains, MO; and Roger Cooper of Humphreys, MO; four daughters; Phyllis Forson of Trenton, MO; Joan Stinnett of Independence, MO; Karen DeVore of Browning, MO; and Mary and son-in-law Larry Grothe of Wheeling, MO; 18 grandchildren, 36 great- grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will miss her gentle, loving, caring nature.

Dorothy Mae loved the Lord and was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church at Shafter.  She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and wonderful grandmother.  She enjoyed being with her family and friends.  Everyone that knew her loved her for her humor, compassion and love of life.  She especially enjoyed preparing family dinners and having her family at home.  She loved doing crafts and was always busy sewing and making something for her grandchildren.
