Carolyn Lefgren, a 68 year old resident of Trenton, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north of Laredo, MO.  No visitation is scheduled, Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lefgren was born on July 23, 1944 in Red Oak, IA the daughter of Ellis and Arlene (Haldeman) Lefgren. She graduated from Malvern, IA high school in 1962. She worked as a social worker for Douglas County social services from 1971 to 1981 and managed a group home for mentally disabled adults from 1981 to 1995. She was known by her grandchildren as “Nana”
She is survived by a daughter, Brenna Littleton and her husband, Scott of Trenton, MO and a son, David Lefgren and his wife, Sunnie of Bennett, NE; 5 grandchildren, Kylie Littleton, Zoe Littleton, Connor Littleton, Logan Lefgren, and Garret Lefgren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Lefgren.
