Joseph E. Blackburn, a 63 year old Trenton, Mo resident, passed away at 10:43 am on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Morningside Center in Chillicothe, MO with his daughter, granddaughter, and two nieces’ by his side.
The body was cremated.  A memorial service will be held at Galt Community Center (101 South Main, Galt, MO 64641) on July 6, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.
Mr. Blackburn was born on November 10, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK the son of Ira Alfred Elise and Ruth Allene (Squire) Blackburn.  He worked for P.S.F. and Modine. He was loved and will be missed by all.
He is survived by a daughter, Paula Lager and her husband, Louis of Tindall, MO; a son, George Blackburn of Kansas; 2 brothers, Jake Blackburn of Trenton, MO and Jack Blackburn of Galt, MO; 2 sisters, June Dowell of Gladstone, MO and Byra Blackburn of Liberty, MO; 5 grandchildren, Joseph Blackburn, Aaron Shoop, Rachel Cosens, Ericka Spurgin, and Kara Lager; 2 great grandchildren, Chase Shoop and Cale Blackburn; a special niece, Renee Keophaphone; and many more nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jim and Raymond; and 2 sisters, Ethel Rogers and Francis Walker.
