Mary was born July 11, 1921 to Andrew Everett and Mary Gladys Harris in Trenton, She attended Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College. She was married to James Myron Crow and they were parents of three children, Jim, Elizabeth (Moss), and Sarah (Siebenborn). Mary was the very proud grandmother to nine grandchildren including Jamie, Jeff, Jeremy and Julie Crow; Ellen, Katie, and Andrew Siebenborn; Daniel and Rachel Moss. In addition, she enjoyed being Grandma Mary to 11 great grandchildren: Josie, Hannah and Mia Crow; Reagan and Charlotte Moss; Katalina Couch and Annabelle Siebenborn; Maddison and Clayton Forsyth; Aiden and Tyler Williams.
Mary enjoyed traveling and especially loved the trips with her sisters to south Missouri in the spring to see the Dogwoods blooming and the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage. Throughout her life, Mary's interests seemed to follow the seasons as she hunted mushrooms and "greens" in the spring, worked in the family's garden in the summer, and cut bittersweet for wreaths in the fall. But her favorite pastime was cooking and baking. Friends and family were always thrilled to leave her home with a loaf of warm banana bread or bag of homemade chocolate chip cookies. The recipes for these favorites she was happy to share, but how she made her delicious fudge is still a mystery as she didn't even use a recipe. She just knew from all the years of making Christmas fudge for family and neighbors. Mary worked as a bookkeeper in Trenton and later in Springfield, Illinois. She was a long time member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church.
Besides her children and grandchildren, Mary is survived by a sister Fern and husband Harry Clifton of Independence, Missouri; sister Frances and husband Floyd Campbell of Auburn, Washington; She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings including sisters Dorothy Harris Sayer and Marguerite Harris Bionaz; brothers Raymond and Sod Harris; and also grandsons Jamie and Jeff Crow.
The family suggests memorials to the Jamie and Jeff Crow Scholarship, which may be left at Resthaven or mailed to 11264 Livingston 202, Trenton, Missouri 64683.
