Nancy Ellis an 80 year old resident of Trenton, MO passed away at 2:50 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday November 12, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Trenton. A scheduled family visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time at the church. Memorial contributions have been suggested to be given to the North Central Missouri College Whitaker Eads Funeral Home of Trenton is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ellis was born on April 11, 1931 at Trenton, MO the daughter of Gilbert and Grace Wilson Hammons. She graduated from Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College then from Kirksville College. Mrs.Ellis was the director and gave swimming lessons for the American Red Cross swimming program in Trenton for many years. She also ran the Busy Bee playschool for 24 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eastern Star and sang with the Sweet Adelines.
Surviving relatives include her husband Paul Ellis of Trenton, MO; a daughter, Debbie now Mrs. Jim Bundridge of Holt, MO: two sons, Phillip and his wife Linda Ellis of Columbia, MO and David Ellis of Clinton, MO.: 7 grandchildren, Scott, Elaine and Sarah Ellis, Cheynne, Cody, Christian and Carson; 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Ally Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and she step-father, Walter Gleason.
