Mildred M. Taylor, an 87 year old Trenton, MO resident passed away at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Grundy Center United Methodist Church Northeast of Trenton.  A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 until service time Saturday.  Inurnment will be at a later date at the Jacksonville Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery.  Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and mailed or left with Whitaker Eads Funeral Home.

Mildred Marie Taylor was born December 21, 1923 in Grundy County to Roy William and Bessie Scott Chambers.  She was a graduate of the Trenton High School class of 1941 and has stayed active with the class helping with the reunion committee.  On September 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to George S. Taylor in Denver, CO.  He preceded her in death on February 8, 2008.  Mildred was employed for over thirty years with Trenton Foods and is the longest term member of the Grundy Center United Methodist Church.  She was also an active member of the United Methodist Women.  She attended the Alzheimer’s Support Group and is well known for her hobby of sending greeting, birthday and any other event cards to family, friends and acquaintances.  

Surviving relatives include her daughter Alice Nathan and her husband Rich White of Chatham, IL, sisters Lucille Fletcher of Trenton and Letha Henley of Humphreys, MO, brother Eugene Chambers of Columbia, MO, three grandchildren Karen Addison-Taylor of Boulder, CO, Jason Taylor of Joplin, MO, and Adam Taylor of Buffalo, NY, two step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband and sons George Roy and Dwight Douglas Taylor.

Prayers for you at this time of your loss. Mildred was a wonderful person, she will always be remembered for her smile and caring nature. You can rejoice knowing that she is no longer in pain, but in the presence of the Lord.
