Gary Dale Hanes, a 56 year old Trenton resident, passed away at 4:21 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2018 at Wright Memorial Hospital.
Visitation is scheduled at First Baptist Church in Trenton from 7 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28th. Service will be held on Wednesday, August 29th at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the family for expenses and left with or mailed to Resthaven Mortuary.
Gary Dale Hanes was born July 7, 1962 in Trenton to Gary and Carolyn (Brown) Hanes. He attended Shawnee Mission North High School and studied at Kansas City Community College. He served in the United States Marine Corps as well as serving as a reservist in the National Guard on active duty.
On May 23, 2009 he married Laura Hanes in Boonville, MO. Gary was self-employed in his own Construction business. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. He loved to sing all sorts of songs and most of all he enjoyed being with his family.
Gary is survived by his wife, Laura Hanes, his mother, Carolyn Byrd, step-mother LeJean Hanes, brothers, Troy Hanes (Michelle), Gregg Baecht, three lovely children, Gary Dean Hanes, Miranda Hanes and Shayna Hanes and grandchildren, Noah and Marlee as well as many friends and co-workers.
