Phyllis June Forson an 83 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her residence in Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Haseville Church east of Laredo. Burial will follow in the Humphreys Cemetery in Humphreys, MO. A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 Friday evening at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to either the Haseville Cemetery or the Humphreys Cemetery and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
Phyllis Forson was born June 29, 1934 in Shafter, MO to Harold and Dorothy Mae (Phillips) Cooper. She graduated from Humphreys High School and then moved to Colorado Springs where she worked as a hospital librarian and medical transcriber. On December 8, 1951 she was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Forson in Raton, NM. In 1977 they moved to Trenton for a couple years before moving to Galt where they owned and operated the Payne Furniture and Carpet Store for 10 years. Later they moved back to Trenton.
Surviving relatives include her children, Donna June Conklin and husband Wayne of Polo, MO, Debra Jean Forson of Grandview, MO, Diana Jane Beltz of Stet, MO, James David Forson and wife Pam of Kansas City, MO, and Steven Lee Forson and partner Gail Anders of Nixa, MO, siblings Dorothy Joan Stinnett of Independence, MO, Vernon Cooper and wife Doris of West Plains, MO, Karen Sue Devore of Warrensburg, MO, Roger Cooper of Humphreys, MO, and Mary Grothe and husband Larry of Chula,MO, and grandchildren Julie Hufford and husband Billy, Jamie Soutter and husband Joshua, Jason Forson and wife Elana Scopa-Forson, Daniel Forson and wife Jennifer, Chelsea Ridings and husband Chase, Christopher Forson and partner Sarah Park, and Tanner Forson and partner Rebecca Kerr.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, and son-in-law Joe Beltz.
