Bruce Edward Dittberner, 79, of Laredo, passed away at 4:36 PM on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1711 Hillcrest Drive in Trenton, Missouri. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the church. Open visitation will begin on Thursday morning at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be at a later date at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Norfolk, Nebraska. Memorials and contributions are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Trenton or the Laredo Fire and Ambulance.
Bruce was born on September 23, 1936 in Madison, Nebraska to Edward George and Erma Grace (Preuss) Dittberner. On April 29, 1961, he was united in marriage to Bonna Rakowsky at the Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Omaha with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and physics. Bruce was also a veteran of the Air Force.
He loved collecting tractors, tinkering, traveling to Minnesota, camping, playing cards, dancing, gardening, carpentry, and raising cattle. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Elk’s Club, the American Legion, the Laredo Lion’s Club, the township board, and former Weblo Scout Master.
Bruce is survived by his wife Bonna Dittberner of Laredo; daughter, Barbara Harbo and husband Gary of Eagan, MN; and son, Brian Dittberner and wife Suzee of Kansas City, KS; son-in-law, Jeff Maupin of Blue Springs, MO;  grandchildren, Kari Ellingsberg and husband Adam of Zumbrota, MN, Gary Harbo II of New Zealand, Grant and Gavin Harbo of Eagan, MN, Abby Mikkelsen and husband Malcolm of Topeka, KS, BriAnna Dittberner of Topeka, KS, Luke Dittberner of Kansas City, Kansas, Austin Bates of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Mollie and Hannah Maupin of Blue Springs, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Brenda Maupin; and sisters, Bonnie Spinar and Judy Dieter.

So sorry for your loss. Still remember you Barb when you spent time at your Grandma R's. trailer in Norfolk and visited with my stepdaughters when then were with us.
