Frank Engleman, a 90 year old resident of Galt, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his residence, under hospice care.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Galt Christian Church in Galt. Rev Stan Richardson will officiate. A scheduled visitation will be held from 6 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Galt Christian Church, with an open visitation from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Payne Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Evans Cemetery, north east of Trenton, following military graveside rites.
Mr. Engleman was born on July 6, 1925 in Laredo, MO the son of John F. and Ruth (Selby) Engleman. He served in the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was married to Lee Evelyn Betz on June 28, 1944 in Trenton, MO; she preceded him in death on December 2, 2000. They owned and operated Engleman Service Station in Galt since May 1968. He was a member of the Galt Christian Church.
Mr. Engleman is survived by 2 sons, John Engleman and his wife, Frances of Laredo, MO and Jerry Engleman and his wife, Marlene of Laredo, MO; a daughter, Debbie Anderson and her husband, David of Galt, MO; a sister, Mary Ann Sims of Trenton, MO; 3 grandchildren, Erica Eakes and her husband, Chad of Cainsville, MO, Ryan Anderson and Jessica of Chillicothe, MO, Eric McClaskey and his wife, Ashley of Olathe, KS; and 4 great grandchildren, Grayson Anderson, Miles McClaskey, Emerson McClaskey, and Brittany Eakes.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Seb Engleman.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to the South Evans Cemetery; they can be mailed to Payne Funeral Home, P.O. Box 37, Galt, MO 64641.
