Ila Tharp, a 92 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 05, 2013 at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Burial will be in the South Evans Cemetery, northeast of Trenton. Memorial donations are suggested to the Fairview United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
Ila Tharp was born February 27, 1921 in Chula, MO to Theodore and Jessie (Burns) McCully. On September 20, 1941 she was united in marriage to Paul Russell Tharp in Trenton, MO. Together they farmed just east of Spickard, MO. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1986. After her husband’s death she moved to Trenton. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her Brother Myrl McCully of Mt. Horeb, WI, and two sisters Betty Johnson of Tule Lake, CA and Jolene Walker of Bethany, MO as well as many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, husband, brothers Donald McCully, Harold McCully, Wayne McCully and Ted McCully, and a sister Minerva Cummings.
