Barbara Ellis, a 72 year old resident of Trenton, passed away at 12:53 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Wright Memorial Hospital of Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1,2013 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton. Open visitation will be held on Saturday from 4 -8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1-8:00 p.m. at Resthaven.
Mrs. Ellis was born on July 12, 1940 in Lewis County, MO the daughter of Otto and Sarah Jane (Rager) Morgan. She graduated from Shelbina High School in Shelbina, MO. She was married to Wilmer “Sonny” Ellis on August 23, 1958 in Trenton, MO; he preceded her in death on October 22, 1992.
She is survived by 2 brothers, George Morgan of Lenter, MO and Ernie Morgan of Macon, MO; 3 sisters, Lois of CO, Clara Mae of MI, and Mary Kay of IA; a step daughter, Rebecca Morton of Trenton, MO; and a step granddaughter, Amy Morton of Trenton, MO.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Johnny and Marvin; a sister in law, Winnie Morgan; and a niece, Tonya Barrett.
