Edna was always the consummate professional, with a gentle touch and a generous heart. I have always been proud to call her “colleague”, and grateful to have known her. “Teacher” and “Edna Rebello” are truly synonymous. The world is diminished by her passing. My sincere condolences to Nelson (another true professional), Carol, and family.

Edna was a very special person--she was a great teacher and a great lady. She was a wonderful colleague and friend, always nurturing and compassionate. She cared about everyone: her students, her fellow teachers, her town, and most of all her family. To Nelson, Carol, Lee, Angela and Thomas, we share in your sorrow and loss. We were fortunate to know Edna for so many years. We will miss her. May her memory always be a blessing.

Edna was a superb teacher as I came to know her in my tenure as school adjustment counselor at the Sharon Intermediate School. She was firm and kind to students, and challenged them to grow to the best of their abilities. My sincere condolences to family and friends for the loss of a very special woman.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Rebello. My daughter had her in fifth grade. She was enthusiastic, caring, and had a sense of humor. She challenged her students but was fair and kindhearted. She will be remembered fondly. I am grateful that she was a person who helped to positively shape my daughter's life.

Dear Nelson,
Sorry to hear of Edna's passing. I will remember her in my prayers. Edna was a wonderful person and teacher. She leaves a legacy of thousands of students who were fortunate to have had her for a teacher. She was a credit to the profession. I have many memories about the great faculty at the old Intermediate School. As a beginning teacher I had many fruitful conversations with her about the art of teaching. Her suggestions and spirit were a great help to a struggling rookie. Be well my friend.
